Esmeralda Salas is passionate about promoting individual and community well-being by addressing the root causes of health inequities. She specializes in community engagement, collaborative research, and strategic partnerships, helping communities build strong connections and actionable strategies. Her interdisciplinary experience spans clinical psychology, public health research, and direct community work—including supporting asylum seekers at the U.S. border, mentoring elementary school students, and serving in educational support roles—giving her a deep understanding of the social and systemic factors that shape health, opportunity, and equity. Outside of her professional work, Esmeralda enjoys spending time with her family across her two homes in Los Angeles and Mexico and is a devoted dog enthusiast.
